What is Short Term Accommodation?

NDIS Short Term Accommodation in the Riverina

Kurrajong’s Short Term Accommodation (STA), formerly known as NDIS Respite Care, offers people with disability a safe and comfortable place to stay. Whether it’s for a weekend, overnight visit, or longer break, STA provides a supported, home-like environment to build independence, enjoy new experiences, and connect with others.

It’s also an important way for families and carers to rest and recharge, with peace of mind knowing their loved one is well cared for.

Who Can Access Kurrajong STA?

Children and Teens

Children and teenagers aged 8 years and over with an intellectual disability can access Kurrajong’s Short Term Accommodation, depending on location.

Our STA for children and teens is designed to be safe, engaging and age-appropriate. Each stay is tailored to support daily routines, offer fun activities, and encourage social interaction in a supportive environment.

STA for children is available in most locations, excluding Wagga and Deniliquin.

Adults

Kurrajong offers Short Term Accommodation to adults with an intellectual disability across all locations.

STA for adults is flexible and personalised. Each stay is built around the individual’s NDIS goals, interests and support needs — whether that’s skill building, socialising, or simply taking a break in a relaxed, home-like setting.What-To-Expect-Short-Term-Accommodation
