What home and independent living supports do Kurrajong provide?

It’s not just accommodation – it’s more!

An individualised living option (ILO) is an NDIS support that lets you choose the home you live in and set up supports in the way that best suits you. Whether you want to move out, need a home away from home in short-term accommodation, are a family member and need to organise a short break for respite, or simply want some extra support in your own home, we can help!

Available Services

Our team at Kurrajong Supported Living provide you with the ability and choice to live in a group setting with other people with disability or on your own with support. We also offer short term and medium term accommodation, and drop-in support.

Current Accommodation Locations

Please contact us directly to inquire about accommodation options, as not all services are available in all locations

Need help getting there?

Transport is part of the support you receive at Kurrajong. Whether it’s getting to our service hubs, your workplace, appointments, classes or community activities, we’ll help make it happen. Transport is included across all our services and can be funded through your NDIS Core Supports.

Short Term Accommodation

Kurrajong’s Short Term Accommodation (STA) offers a safe and supportive home away from home, where you can take a break from your regular routine, build independence, and enjoy new experiences.

Before your stay, we’ll take the time to understand your individual needs — from medication and dietary requirements to personal care and meal planning — so you feel comfortable, prepared, and supported.

During your stay, you’ll have the chance to develop new skills, take part in fun activities, and connect with others in a welcoming environment. STA also provides valuable respite for families and carers, knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

Previously known as Respite Care, STA provides temporary supported living options for NDIS participants, giving carers time to recharge while ensuring individuals receive quality care in a home-like environment.

Who can Access STA?

STA is available to people with an intellectual disability aged 8 and above.

Adults can access STA in all of our locations.
STA for children is available in most locations—but not in Wagga or Deniliquin.

How Much Does STA Cost?

Your NDIS plan may cover up to 28 days per year, which can be used flexibly—whether for a weekend, a full week, or an overnight stay.

What Support and Activities will be Provided?

While at Kurrajong STA, you can enjoy outings, shopping, movies, dining out, or simply relaxing—it’s your choice. Each stay is tailored to your interests, providing a balance of fun, independence, and social connection.
