How we're responding to COVID-19

While COVID-19 has presented many new challenges to our Kurrajong Community it has also shown that together, we can develop innovative and new ways to continue to provide support to our clients.

Supporting social distancing through Online Supports

Kurrajong has started delivering online supports to enable our clients to continue to access supports whilst they are isolated at home. This means that clients can continue to access their therapy or day program, connect with their support worker or therapist and also engage with other clients, all from the safety of their own home.

Some of the supports our clients are accessing online from their own home include:

  • Therapy Plus - Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Education Sessions
  • Lifestyle Choices - this week have started delivering programs for clients to participate in drama, art, talk fest just to name a few.
  • Employment Preparation - we are temporarily delivering our SLES program to clients remotely.

What’s next?

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and clients continues to be our number one priority. We are continuing to monitor and follow government direction to ensure the continued safety of our community.

Whilst things are improving in our local area, it’s important not to become complacent at this time and to continue to implement good practices to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

As government advice continues to change, we will contact affected clients directly to provide updates on their support delivery.

How to slow the spread

To help slow the spread of COVD-19, remember practise good hygiene, social distancing and follow the rules for public gatherings, quarantine and self-isolation.

To keep up to date with the current government requirements and health advice, visit the Australian Government website and the NSW Health website.
